Kenyan coast has always been a preferred vacation destination for many people the region and abroad. Every year, an increased number of vacationers book hotel reservation at the Kenyan coastal city, Mombasa. However, the number of tourists flocking Kenya has been decreasing as a result of the terrorists’ threat and the just-concluded general elections. The dispute that followed the general election caused some tourists to cancel reservations that they had booked before the elections. This was made worse by travel advisories from UK and USA. 

Nevertheless, following amicable resolution of the dispute more tourists are now packing and booking reservations for their trip to the Kenyan coast. Tour operators in the Kenyan coast are also preparing their facilities to handle the high number of tourists expected in Mid-July. Generally, Mid-July is usually the start of tourists’ season in Kenya. As such, when the number of tourists reduced following the terrorists threat from the Al-shabaab militia and the general elections, tour operators embarked on renovating their hotels. This has made coastal hotels better and capable of handling more tourists.

July is usually the annual migration season for the famous wildebeest. People usually visit the Mara from July to November to watch these animals migrate. Annual migration of these animals has been happening for many years.
